“BJELOVAR” VHF CONTEST RULES
Radio club “Nikola Tesla” Bjelovar, 9A1GIJ-9A9D is the organizer of the VHF contest “Bjelovar”.
Timeslot – The contest is held on the last Sunday in September from 7:00 to 10:00 UTC.
Frequency – the contest is held on 144 MHz according to the band plan of the IARU region 1.
Categories:
A – single operator, all modes
B – multiple operators, all modes (clubs)
C – FM only
Modes – the permitted modes are CW, SSB and FM according to the existing band plan of the IARU region 1. Contacts made by reflection from the moon (EME), meteor trails (MS), via satellite, transponder or repeater as well as cross-band contacts are not recognized.
The permitted transmitter power must be in accordance with the power specified in the amateur radio station’s operating license.
Reports – during the contest, it is mandatory to exchange the report according to the RST scale, the serial number of the contact (starting with 001) and the WW locator.
Scoring is carried out according to the principle of 1km = 1 point. During the contest, only 1 contact with the same station is allowed, regardless of the category and mode. Duplicate contacts must be entered in the logbook, clearly marked and scored with zero points.
Contest logs are kept in a standard format with all necessary contact data: date, time (UTC), correspondent callsign, mode, submitted report and serial number of the contact, received report and serial number of the contact, WW locator of the correspondent, and achieved QRB in kilometers.
The summary sheet should be in a standard format with the category, WW locator from which it was made, a statement on compliance with the contest rules and hamspirit (data is entered in the header of the EDI file).
Deduction of points or disqualification and all possible disputes will be resolved according to the instructions on the rules of the VHF/UHF contest of the IARU region 1.
Submission of contest logs is carried out exclusively in electronic form in EDI format on the VHF (UKV) robot at the address https://www.hamradio.hr/vhfrobot/upload_edi.php.
The deadline for submitting logs is 8 days after the contest.
Log processing and publication of results – Unofficial results will be published on the website hrvhf.net, section “Contest” (VHF ROBOT) no later than 15 days after the deadline for log submission. An appeal against the published unofficial results can be submitted to the contest organizer in writing no later than 8 days after their publication. After the deadline for appeal, the published unofficial results become official. The right to interpret the contest rules has exclusively the contest commission of the RK “Nikola Tesla” Bjelovar 9A1GIJ. Everything not regulated by these rules is regulated by the IARU Region 1 VHF Contest Regulations.
Awards to contesters
Cups/plaques will be awarded to the first-place stations in all categories, and diplomas to all those who send their logbook within the deadline.
Special provisions
The club station RK “Nikola Tesla” under the call sign 9A9D participates outside of the placement; in category B – multiple operators all modes, only stations of amateur radio organizations (clubs, associations, societies, etc.) are eligible to apply, regardless of how many modes they used in the contest;
categories A and C are only for personal /private/ stations,
